ABOUT ALISON

Newly married and not yet with kids, I started blogging in 2010. It was my outlet to explore creative pursuits when I was deep in the trenches of an office job by day. Blogging connected me with some wholehearted, amazing people who have become dear friends and continue to inspire me today.

I retired my original blog - Paper{whites} - in 2016, turning inward to the sprint/marathon of my two daughters’ earliest years while growing my career in corporate communications. In 2019, I opened my own small business, and now with more freedom to design my days, time and space has opened to learn more, create and start writing again.

ABOUT THE BLOG

I’m a homebody. Always dreaming of ways to refresh and reinvent, my home is the ultimate design canvas. We are slowly transforming our fixer upper in Southern California into a space that is simple, peaceful, warm and functional, and I intend to share those projects here.

I’m as passionate about the process as I am about the result, moving through details with attention and intention. I am most inspired with the balance of beauty, simplicity and function, whether that’s setting the table, up-cycling IKEA furniture, designing stationery, soaking in the seasons or playing with the patterns and colors of the outdoors.

It’s my hope that this blog speaks to and inspires you in some small way, wherever you find yourself, as so many others have done for me over the years. Thank you for being here!
